Burning Rice is a korean bbq in Plano, Texas. It is listed at 4701 W Park Blvd Ste 110, Plano, TX 75093, which places it among the local businesses of Plano that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.

Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Plano, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across Texas run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 11 am–10 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (469) 609-6226. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is burningrice.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Customers rate it 4.3 out of 5 on Google across 290 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded korean bbq in Plano.

Plano is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. Getting around Plano is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Texas's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

You order at a kiosk, grab a number, pay, and have a seat - so not a "look up" menu, technically, but not far removed either. No big deal. Service was great. Mind you, I was one of four people there, with the other three already served. My bulgogi bowl came out faster than expected, and to my surprise, was constructed property, not just dumped in a bowl. Sauces are available separately. Once all mixed together, everything was very good - not the best bulgogi ever, but certainly above average. I'd go back.

Great, ridiculously hot food, we got ours in the hot stone bowl. Quite a lot of variety to choose from within the rice and meat categories. We ordered with their tablets, and it worked just fine. This is not the first location ive been to for Burning Rice and I’m glad to say their food is consistently flavorful.

Miso soup tasted watered down. I had to add spicy soy sauce just to have flavor! The kimchi rice is very bland absolutely no flavor. We did the spicy pork bowl and again no flavor. Had to add sauces to make it taste like anything! Also, the prices say build your own include rice, protein, veggies, and an egg however, when you pick a protein, it’s an extra $4.25 per protein per dish. The price should include for the protein already per the description.

The service was extremely slow. While waiting, I asked two customers who were pacing back and forth how long they had been there. Orders are placed through a kiosk, and then you wait for your food. As I reviewed the menu, I paid attention to how long it was taking to prepare the two orders ahead of me. Additionally, the cashier at the counter seemed unaware that I was waiting to be acknowledged, as she had earbuds in. After seeing the delay, I decided to head to Legacy West for lunch instead.

I think the last time I went to Burning Rice was before the pandemic and I was not sure what to expect today. I went to try this location out and it was very different from what I remember. You order on a touch screen pad now. I remember you could get your own veggies and soup but they just bring it all out to you on a cart after you order. We got the rice bowls and they came out with our orders fairly quickly. The dishes are deceptively small as we felt really full afterwards.
